Congratulations Hull! City of Culture 2017


....and following our last post worth saying a BIG congratulations to Hull in being named the 2017 City of Culture.

The University's own Art Collection should be housed in the newly refurbished Brynmor Jones Library when completed:

Using eBooks? advice on downloading, device set up etc

On our Find Books tab you will now find a link to the page http://subjectguides.york.ac.uk/ebooks. This gives useful information on some of the main eBook platforms, including advice on :

  • Downloading
  • Printing, saving and copying
  • Browser requirements

Find It @ York - new pink buttons to access full text

The buttons which link you to the full text of articles at UoY from databases such as Medline have changed. When searching for journal articles available via UoY Library you will now see Find It @ York links. Once you have clicked on this button, full-text electronic access is displayed under the View It tab (in some cases there may be access available from more than one source). Click on a provider's name to access the article. 
If the Library has print copies they will be listed under the Get It tab.
If you encounter any problems with accessing the full text of articles, or need help with searching generally, contact library@hyms.ac.uk
