Brynmor Jones Library Redevelopment update
What’s going on?

The 5th
floor opens today at lunch time. This means
that there are five fully refurbished floors in the tower, the Reading Room
and part of Second floor east completed and open for business

The decant area
on the ground floor is now closed and work will begin on the gallery and
exhibition space
·
As a result of
the closure of the decant area, the principal route to the Reading Room and the
2nd floor east between 09.00 and 18.00 will be through the entrance
on the south side of the building, facing Larkin West. After 18.00 the
only access to these areas will be via the lift adjacent to the reception desk
at the front of the Library
·
The 2nd
floor is on schedule and the floor is expected to open, including the
postgraduate research lounge, in early April
