New York Uni Library plans: your input wanted

As you may know the University of York Library is currently planning the re-development of the space in the Computer Science building when it becomes available in 2010/11 and the associated re-development and refurbishment of the JB Morrell Library. The Library is currently trying to get as much feedback, ideas and thoughts about how staff and students would like to use this space and what they feel is needed.

Click on the title above (York Uni username needed) to view a copy of the presentation given by the York Library & Archives Director at some briefings about this. The first few slides of the presentation are quite wordy but further slides give some ideas about possible layout, design and use. Any feedback or thoughts you might have concerning the Library space are welcome such as:
  • likes
  • dislikes
  • examples of libraries, or similar places, you've used and liked; and if so why
  • what you feel you need

If you have any thoughts you'd like fed into the development consultation please send them to library@hyms.ac.uk or post them on the HYMS VLE.
