Support for students and staff with disabilities

Both University Libraries are committed to ensuring that all members can make the best possible use of their services and collections, and where possible the Libraries provide a bespoke service to students and staff with disabilities.

Further information for each site can be found online:

York also offer one-to-one tours of the Library. These can be arranged at a time to suit you and will take approximately 30 minutes. A member of Library staff will show you around the facilities and explain the range of assistance and services that are offered. Tours can be booked via Disability Services, or you can contact the Library directly at lib-enquiry@york.ac.uk. If you’re happy to explain the nature of your disability when you book the tour or when you arrive, it will help the Library to tailor their services to your needs.
