Refurbished second floor of the JB Morrell

The refurbished second floor of the JB Morrell Library is now open: for access use the main lift or the fire escape stairs on the west side of the building (follow the signs).

The second floor now contains book collections for humanities subjects: Philosophy (A), Religion (C), History of Art (L-LL), Music (LM), Sport (LN), TFTV (LP-LT), Literature (M-MY), Language & Linguistics (MZ), Archaeology (P) and History (Q). Temporary signs direct you to the appropriate shelves.

Books for all remaining subjects in the JB Morrell Library are shelved on the first floor in the current phase of the refurbishment project.

Six stand alone Library Catalogue terminals have been installed near the entrance to the temporary staircase. Study desks and chairs are also now in place in the public reading areas of the second floor. Additional furniture is on its way for the study rooms.

Two new PC classrooms on the second floor will have equipment installed by IT Services towards the end of the summer vacation. The entire floor is now wi-fi enabled and additional power sockets for laptops have been provided.
