MoreBooks scheme at York

Are you a student at York? Do you want us to buy some more books?

The University of York is again giving students (and that includes HYMS students) the opportunity to tell them what books to buy, whether it's a title the Library doesn’t have or an additional copy of a book you’re finding it hard to get your hands on. There's £20K to spend and the scheme will close when all the money's used up.

A MoreBooks button (above) will appear alongside book titles in YorSearch and all you need to do is click it and enter your details in the form. To suggest an item that York doesn’t currently have, go to the New titles through MoreBooks form. The Library will then purchase a copy of the book you want, buying an e-book where possible to improve availability.

Last year there were over 1,800 books purchased through the scheme, so don't miss your chance to tell us what to buy.
