Official opening of the Brynmor Jones Library at the University of Hull 16 September 2015
Today marked the official opening of the Brynmor Jones Library at the University of Hull, with an opening ceremony in the exhibition space on the ground floor of the library. The ceremony was led by the poet laureate, Carol Ann Duffy who holds an honorary doctorate at the University. The poet unveiled a plaque commemorating the occasion.
The Brynmor Jones Library underwent a redevelopment beginning in September 2012 which has transformed the building in terms of what students spaces are available and refreshing the technological infrastructure for the 21st Century.
The exhibition space features a display of images from the building's history with explanatory notes which will be available to view until the end of October.
