Statistics, data collection and
analysis, predictive analytics; whatever you want to call it, if you are using
statistics in your research, then you may well want to take advantage of a
series of statistics workshops run by
the University of York's Maths Skills Centre. The workshops are running from
April- June 2016 for all postgraduate students.
The 4 workshops being offered (all on
Wednesday afternoons - see website for dates & more details) are:
An Introduction to SPSS
Descriptive Statistics and Exploratory
Analysis
Using Graphs and Measures of Association
Confidence Intervals & Hypothesis
Testing
Feedback suggests that these workshops
have been useful complements to courses available in departments and
they have become very popular. There are limited places available so if you are
interested we recommend that you sign up to the workshops as soon as
possible to avoid disappointment. More details and an on-line course sign up

HYMS postgraduates who are
based at Hull are more than welcome to sign up for these workshops if they are
